Job description
We are seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Spider Cleaner (IRATA Certified) to perform high-rise building cleaning and maintenance using industrial rope access techniques. The candidate will be responsible for cleaning building facades, glass panels, external walls, and other elevated surfaces while strictly following rope access procedures, safety regulations, and company standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-rise window, glass facade, and exterior building cleaning using rope access techniques.
- Use ropes, harnesses, descenders, and other approved rope access equipment safely.
- Inspect cleaning tools and rope access equipment before use.
- Follow IRATA safety procedures and approved work-at-height practices.
- Clean glass panels, exterior walls, building facades, and other elevated surfaces.
- Work with the rope access team and follow the instructions of the supervisor or rope access technician.
- Maintain proper equipment handling, storage, and housekeeping.
- Report unsafe conditions, equipment defects, and workplace hazards immediately.
- Follow site-specific risk assessments, method statements, and emergency procedures.
Requirements
- Valid IRATA certification required; level to be confirmed by the employer.
- Previous experience in high-rise cleaning or rope access work preferred.
- Knowledge of rope access equipment and work-at-height safety procedures.
- Physically fit and comfortable working at heights.
- Familiarity with personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety requirements.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
- Willingness to work 6 days per week in accordance with the stated schedule.
- Relevant training and supporting certificates must be available for verification.
