Job description
Responsible for installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of Ductile Iron (DI) piping systems in UAE projects. The Pipefitter will work on shutdown and maintenance projects, ensuring piping work is completed safely, accurately, and according to project specifications.Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, align, and dismantle DI (Ductile Iron) pipes and fittings.
- Perform pipe fitting, jointing, cutting, and alignment as required.
- Carry out pressure testing of piping systems and identify leaks or defects.
- Execute piping activities during shutdown and maintenance projects.
- Read and interpret piping drawings, layouts, and specifications.
- Coordinate with welders, fabricators, supervisors, and other site personnel.
- Inspect completed piping work to ensure quality and proper installation.
- Follow all site safety procedures, work permits, and PPE requirements.
- Complete assigned work within project schedules and quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven hands-on experience as a Pipefitter, particularly with DI (Ductile Iron) Pipes.
- Experience in pressure testing and piping system installation.
- Previous experience in shutdown projects is essential.
- Gulf experience is mandatory.
- Relevant trade certification required.
- Ability to read and understand piping drawings is preferred.
- Must be physically fit and capable of working in industrial/site environments.
- Immediate joiners are preferred.
