Job description
The Mechanical Technician will be responsible for the installation, dismantling, assembly, troubleshooting, repair and overhauling of pumps, motors, valves and related mechanical equipment at workshop, on-site and off-site locations.Responsibilities
- Dismantling, assembling and overhauling various types of pumps and motors.
- Work on Submersible, Centrifugal, Multistage Booster and Dewatering Pumps.
- Inspect, measure and replace mechanical seals, bearings, shafts, sleeves and other components.
- Overhaul gearboxes, valves and air compressors including screw, piston and scroll compressors.
- Perform pump alignment and installation.
- Carry out pump calculations for proper pump selection and application.
- Use measuring tools such as bore gauges and other precision instruments.
- Perform site installation work, including concrete drilling for pump installation.
- Follow all company safety procedures and mechanical maintenance standards.
- Work flexibly at workshop, site and off-site locations as required.
Requirements
- 8–15 years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance.
- Diploma or ITI
- Gulf experience preferred.
- Maximum age: 40 years.
- Strong practical knowledge of pumps, valves and mechanical seals.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment independently.
- Willing to work overtime and flexible working hours.
- Must follow company rules, safety procedures and instructions from supervisors/engineers.
- Good teamwork, discipline and a responsible attitude.
