Job description
The HVAC Chiller Technician will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems, with strong expertise in chillers and compressor troubleshooting/repair. The technician will work at workshop, on-site and off-site locations and ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently.Responsibilities
- Install, maintain and repair Chillers, AHUs, FCUs, VRF Units and Package Units.
- Troubleshoot and repair chillers and refrigeration systems.
- Perform installation, repair and servicing of Scroll, Screw and Piston Compressors.
- Diagnose compressor, refrigeration and mechanical faults and carry out necessary repairs.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults, control panels and wiring issues.
- Conduct continuity, insulation resistance and functional tests.
- Inspect and maintain MCCs and control panels, including tightening connections and replacing defective components.
- Check and adjust system temperatures and refrigerant pressures.
- Perform preventive and periodic maintenance.
- Respond to service calls and resolve technical problems promptly.
- Prepare maintenance reports and service records.
- Follow all safety procedures and company protocols.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of relevant HVAC experience.
- ITI or Diploma Holder
- Gulf experience preferred.
- Maximum age: 40 years.
- Strong practical experience in chiller troubleshooting and compressor repair.
- Experience with commercial and industrial HVAC systems.
- Willing to work at workshops, on-site and off-site locations.
- Flexible to work overtime and as required by the company.
- Must be disciplined, responsible and respectful toward supervisors and engineers.
- Must follow company rules, procedures and safety standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
