Job description
We are seeking a skilled Aluminum and Steel Welder/Fabricator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding, fabricating, assembling, and repairing aluminum and steel components for caravans, trailers, vehicles, frames, structures, and related projects. The role requires strong attention to detail, accurate workmanship, and the ability to work independently from drawings, measurements, and job specifications.Responsibilities
- Weld aluminum and steel using MIG, TIG, and other appropriate welding techniques.
- Fabricate and assemble frames, chassis components, panels, brackets, tubes, and structural parts.
- Work with thin aluminum and steel sheets, tubes, and profiles.
- Read and interpret drawings, measurements, and fabrication instructions.
- Cut, bend, drill, grind, and shape metal components as required.
- Ensure accurate alignment, dimensions, and finishing of fabricated parts.
- Conduct repairs, modifications, and reinforcement work.
- Inspect welds and fabricated components to ensure quality and structural integrity.
Requirements
- Proven practical experience as an aluminum and steel welder/fabricator.
- Previous experience in caravan, trailer, automotive, vehicle, or structural fabrication is highly preferred.
- Trade qualification or relevant technical certification is an advantage.
- Ability to weld thin-gauge aluminum and steel without distortion.
- Ability to work independently and complete tasks to a high standard.
- Good understanding of workshop safety and welding procedures.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual work.
- Reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented.
