- Test the condition of the windings.
- Illustrate and document all relevant data specific to the unit’s features, such as radiation operating conditions, existing damage, or intended serviceability.
- I am responsible for dismantling and stripping damaged or useless digital equipment.
- Prepare all reusable parts for rewinding and inspect renewed parts for hidden structural damage or unusual conditions.
- I am responsible for rewinding various types of electromechanical equipment, such as 1-phase or 3-phase DC fields, armatures, wound rotors, and transformers. Observe proper insulating techniques and requirements during rewinding.
- Test the rewound electromechanical equipment using EASA AR100 and document the results.
- Complete the required paperwork for each job accurately and on a timely basis.
- Some tools offered are cut-off saws, burnout joints, cranes, trucks, units, dip tanks, video vehicle systems, etc. Among the tasks I undertake are testing tools and utilising specialised equipment to detect light pollution.
- Observe all safety procedures and use proper protective gear (especially eye and ear protection).
- According to the supervisor’s instructions, keep the workspace tidy and clean.
- As the supervisor directs, I carry out additional skilled and non-skilled tasks.
